Is Bluesky down right now?
Bluesky’s official status page says: All Systems Operational. This page checks it again when you load it, at most every 5 minutes.
When was Bluesky last down?
The most recent incident Bluesky reported was “Search instability”, today (2026-10-26 21:03 UTC). None of its incidents in the last 90 days were a full outage.
What should I do if Bluesky is down?
Wait a few minutes and reload, try the mobile app or another network, and avoid posting the same content repeatedly.
Bluesky's app is down — are self-hosted PDS accounts affected?
Partly no. Bluesky runs on AT Protocol: your data lives on a PDS, which is separate from the bsky.app AppView. A hosted PDS can keep writing while the main app is down — another ATProto client can still read and post.
What do 'PDS' and 'Relay' mean on the Bluesky status page?
PDS is the personal data server hosting accounts; the Relay crawls PDSes into the shared firehose. A Relay incident delays posts propagating to the app even if your PDS is fine.
How do I tell if Bluesky is down for everyone or only for me?
If the status above is operational but Bluesky still fails for you, the cause is probably on your side: try another network, clear the cache, or check your own connection. If it shows a degradation or an outage, others are affected too.
How can I get alerted when my own site goes down?
OpenUptime checks your site every minute and sends an alert to Slack, Telegram, email or a webhook the moment it stops responding. It is open source and free to start.
