The issue is now resolved fully. Some users saw elevated error rates in Figma's AI features, including AI chat and Figma Make. Affected requests may have failed or needed a retry. We identified an issue with one of our providers and moved traffic to an alternate. Error rates have fully recovered. We are continuing to work with the provider to prevent this from happening again. We apologize for the disruption.

Keep working from local or offline copies where you can, and hold off on large imports or sync jobs until it is back.
The 'Real-time collaboration server' is its own component — you can keep editing locally while multiplayer sync is degraded; changes merge when it recovers.
Dev Mode, Plugins & Widgets, the REST API and sign-in are separate rows from Figma Design itself — a peripheral feature failing doesn't mean the editor is down.
