Is Groq down?
Groq is up and running. Groq serves fast inference for open models on its own chips.
Last 90 days
Groq’s status page only shares its latest incidents, so just the last 22 days are shown; grey days have no data.
Worked out from the incidents Groq reported, so it is an estimate and not a measurement.

Is Groq down right now?
Groq’s official status page says: All Systems Operational. This page checks it again when you load it, at most every 5 minutes.
When was Groq last down?
The most recent incident Groq reported was “GroqCloud Console”, 11 days ago (2026-10-18 04:00 UTC). None of its incidents in the last 90 days were a full outage.
Which parts of Groq are tracked here?
Groq reports 15 components on its status page, including API, llama-3.1-8b-instant, llama-3.3-70b-versatile, openai/gpt-oss-120b, openai/gpt-oss-20b. Each is checked again whenever this page refreshes.
What should I do if Groq is down?
Retry with exponential backoff, fall back to another model or provider if your product allows it, and avoid hammering the API while it recovers.
One model on Groq times out — is the whole API down?
Not necessarily — Groq's status page tracks models and surfaces separately. A single-model event doesn't take down the rest of the GroqCloud API or the playground.
Groq responses are fast again but my requests still fail?
Check your key's rate limit before blaming the outage: Groq enforces per-model requests-per-day/token limits documented in its console, and 429s linger after an incident if a retry burst hit the cap.
How do I tell if Groq is down for everyone or only for me?
If the status above is operational but Groq still fails for you, the cause is probably on your side: try another network, clear the cache, or check your own connection. If it shows a degradation or an outage, others are affected too.
How can I get alerted when my own site goes down?
OpenUptime checks your site every minute and sends an alert to Slack, Telegram, email or a webhook the moment it stops responding. It is open source and free to start.
